The London Rose is an adults-only New Year’s Eve party cruise on the River Thames, sailing from Westminster Millennium Pier — beside the Houses of Parliament and opposite the London Eye — on 31 December 2026. Boarding is at 8:45pm for a 9:00pm departure, returning at approximately 1:00am. Beer, wine, Prosecco and soft drinks are unlimited and included, with a DJ and dance floor on the main deck, two heated saloons with panoramic views and open upper and lower decks for the midnight fireworks. From £369 per person, with free cancellation up to 30 days before.

The last night of the year, from the middle of the river

On 31 December the riverbank belongs to the crowds: barriers go up in the afternoon, the roads close, and by ten o’clock the best viewpoints are shoulder to shoulder. The London Rose takes the other option. You board while the city is still filling up, and by the time the countdown starts you are out on the water with a glass in your hand and nothing between you and the sky.

She is a proper Thames party boat: two heated saloons with windows on the river, a main-deck dance floor with a DJ who plays through the night, and a large open upper deck for when you want the cold air and the view. Beer, wine, Prosecco and soft drinks are included from the moment you step aboard — no counting rounds, no queue for a card machine.

    How the night unfolds

From 8:15pm — Westminster Millennium Pier

Check-in opens on Victoria Embankment, in the shadow of Big Ben. Come early: central London closes to traffic long before midnight, and the boat does not wait. Boarding is at 8:45pm.

    9:00pm — cast off

The London Rose pulls away from the pier and the party starts straight away. The bar is open, the DJ is on, and the illuminated city begins to slide past the windows.

    Midnight — the fireworks

The music stops for the countdown and everyone moves to the decks. The display goes up over the river and, for a few minutes, nobody is looking at anything else.

Until 1:00am — the first hour of 2027

The music comes back and the dancing carries on into the new year. The boat returns to Westminster Millennium Pier at around 1:00am, on the right side of the river for getting home.

    Before you book

The London Rose is strictly 18+, with no exceptions. Dress to impress — it is that kind of night. Food and spirits, champagne and sparkling wine are available to buy on board, but they are not part of the ticket: if you want dinner included, one of the Thames dinner cruises will suit you better.

Luggage and large bags are not allowed on the vessel and there is nowhere to leave them at the pier. The boat is not wheelchair accessible. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before the cruise, and there are no refunds for anyone who arrives after the boat has gone — on the busiest night of the London year, that is worth planning around.

London Rose New Year’s Eve Cruise – FAQ

    • What time does the London Rose board and return?

Check-in opens at 8:15pm at Westminster Millennium Pier, boarding is at 8:45pm and the boat departs at 9:00pm. You are back at the same pier at approximately 1:00am. There are no refunds for anyone who arrives late and misses the boat, so allow extra time — roads across central London close early on New Year’s Eve.

    • What is included in the price?

Unlimited beer, wine, Prosecco and soft drinks for the whole night, a DJ with a dance floor on the main deck, two spacious heated saloons with panoramic views, and access to the large open upper deck and the smaller lower deck. Spirits, champagne and food are available to buy on board.

    • Is food included?

No. The London Rose is a drinks-and-dancing cruise, not a dinner cruise: food can be purchased on board but is not part of the ticket. If you want a meal included, choose one of the dinner cruises instead.

    • Is there an age limit?

Yes. This cruise is strictly for ages 18 and over, with no exceptions. If you are travelling as a family, look at the family-friendly boats in the same category.

    • Will I see the fireworks from the boat?

Yes — the boat is on the water at midnight and both the upper and lower decks are open for the display. No operator can guarantee a specific viewing position: river traffic on 31 December is heavy, and tides and weather affect where a boat can hold station. The crew will secure the best spot available on the night.

    • Can I cancel or change my booking?

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before the cruise. Within 30 days the booking can no longer be cancelled or amended.

    • What should I wear, and can I bring a bag?

Dress to impress — it is a party night on the Thames and most guests dress up. Luggage and large bags of any type are not allowed on the vessel and there is nowhere to store them at the pier. The upper deck is in the open air, so bring a coat you can move in.
