The Galaxy Plus is a City Cruises New Year’s Eve party cruise on the River Thames, sailing from Tower Millennium Pier (Lower Thames Street, EC3N 4DT) on 31 December 2026. Boarding is at 7:45pm and the cruise runs from 8:15pm to 12:45am, 4 hours 30 minutes on the water. Included are a glass of champagne on arrival and another at midnight, a selection of canapés with vegetarian, vegan and halal options, DJ entertainment and dancing, and London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks seen from the river. There are two full bars on board. The cruise is for adults only, 18 and over, and the dress code is semi-formal.
New Year’s Eve on board the Galaxy Plus
On New Year’s Eve the Galaxy Plus hosts an adults-only party. The DJ sets the pace from the moment you step aboard, there are two bars, and the canapés come round while you dance.
You are free to explore the boat, find the people you came with or meet new ones, and choose where you want to be when the countdown starts and the fireworks go up over the river.
How the night unfolds
7:45pm — Tower Millennium Pier
At the pier, look for the City Cruises coloured check-in desk: you receive a coloured check-in card and are directed to the queue for your cruise. The nearest stations are Tower Hill, Fenchurch Street, Tower Gateway DLR and London Bridge.
8:15pm — champagne and the DJ
A glass of champagne on arrival, canapés on the way round and the DJ starting up as the boat heads out onto the Thames.
Midnight — the fireworks from the river
A second glass of champagne for the countdown, and the New Year’s Eve fireworks seen from the water.
Until 12:45am — the party goes on
The DJ keeps the dance floor full into 2027 until the Galaxy Plus returns to Tower Millennium Pier at 12:45am.
Good to know before you book
The Galaxy Plus is for adults aged 18 and over. There is a single ticket type, sold per adult, and guests move freely around the boat. The dress code is semi-formal.
Champagne on arrival and at midnight is included; other drinks are bought from the two full bars. Roads across central London may close early on 31 December, so check the Transport for London travel information before you set off.
