The New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise Plus is a City Cruises dinner sailing on the River Thames on 31 December 2026, aboard a City Cruises river cruiser, from Tower Millennium Pier (Lower Thames Street, EC3N 4DT). Boarding is at 8:15pm and the cruise runs from 8:45pm to 1:15am, 4 hours 30 minutes in all. Included are a welcome glass of champagne, a three-course dinner followed by tea or coffee, half a bottle of wine and a 500ml bottle of water per person, a glass of champagne at midnight, live music and dancing, and London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks seen from the river. Further drinks are available from the full bar. The dress code is smart casual.
An evening of fine dining on the river
The Dinner Cruise Plus is New Year’s Eve as a proper evening out: a table set for dinner, three courses, wine poured, and London’s skyline moving slowly past the windows. You spend the hours before midnight at dinner on the water, away from the crowds standing and waiting on the embankments.
When the plates are cleared the live music takes over and the dancing begins, with the countdown and the fireworks still to come — watched from the river, with a glass of champagne in hand.
How the night unfolds
8:15pm — Tower Millennium Pier
At the pier, look for the City Cruises coloured check-in desk: you receive a coloured check-in card and are directed to the queue for your cruise. The nearest stations are Tower Hill, Fenchurch Street, Tower Gateway DLR and London Bridge.
8:45pm — champagne and dinner
A welcome glass of champagne, then three courses with half a bottle of wine and a bottle of water per person as the boat sails through London.
Midnight — the fireworks from the river
A second glass of champagne for the countdown, and the New Year’s Eve fireworks seen from the Thames.
Until 1:15am — live music and dancing
The music and the dancing carry on into the first hour of 2027, until the boat returns to Tower Millennium Pier at 1:15am.
Good to know before you book
The dress code is smart casual: a cocktail dress or a jacket, and no jeans or trainers. Dinner is served at shared tables of up to ten people, so couples and smaller groups sit with other guests.
