The New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise is a City Cruises dinner sailing on the River Thames on 31 December 2026, from Tower Millennium Pier (Lower Thames Street, EC3N 4DT). Boarding is at 8:45pm and the cruise runs from 9:15pm to 2:00am, 4 hours 45 minutes in all. Included are a welcome glass of champagne, a four-course dinner, half a bottle of wine per person, a glass of champagne at midnight, a live vocalist with music and dancing, and London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks seen from the river. Further drinks are available from the full bar. Seating is at shared tables of up to ten, and the dress code is smart casual.
Midnight on the water, and the party after it
On the last night of the year London’s embankments fill up hours before the fireworks, and most of the people on them are standing. On this boat you are at a table, with a four-course dinner in front of you and the city sliding past the windows.
Then comes the part a riverside spot cannot give you: when the last firework fades, the evening keeps going. The vocalist is still singing, the dance floor is filling up and the boat stays out on the Thames until 2:00am. The tables seat up to ten, so this is a night shared with the people around you as well as your own party.
How the night unfolds
8:45pm — Tower Millennium Pier
At the pier, look for the City Cruises coloured check-in desk: you receive a coloured check-in card and are directed to the queue for your cruise. The nearest stations are Tower Hill, Fenchurch Street, Tower Gateway DLR and London Bridge.
9:15pm — champagne and dinner
A welcome glass of champagne as the boat leaves the pier, then four courses with half a bottle of wine per person, with London lit up on both banks.
Midnight — the fireworks from the river
A second glass of champagne for the countdown, and the New Year’s Eve fireworks seen from the water.
Until 2:00am — music and dancing
The live vocalist and the dancing carry the night on until the boat returns to Tower Millennium Pier at 2:00am.
Good to know before you book
The dress code is smart casual, with no jeans or trainers. Seating is at shared tables of up to ten people, and children aged 5 to 17 are welcome, with a child fare.
