The Cyclone Clipper is a New Year’s Eve cruise on the Thames leaving London Bridge City Pier, beside HMS Belfast, on 31 December 2026. Boarding is at 8:30pm for a 9:15pm departure, returning at approximately 1:45amabout five hours, the longest of the party cruises here. A welcome drink is served on arrival and another at midnight to toast 2027, with live music through the evening and a bar on board paid separately. There is a dress code: no trainers. Children are welcome from two years old. Tickets cannot be cancelled or amended once booked.

Five hours, and a dress code at the gangway

Of the boats that leave for the fireworks without a dinner service, this one keeps you out longest: five hours from the gangway at 8:30pm to the return at about 1:45am. The extra hour sits after midnight, which is where a party boat earns its ticket — the fireworks end at ten past, and the difference between the boats is what happens next.

It also asks something of what you wear: trainers are not allowed on board. Worth reading before you pack rather than at the pier, because it is applied on the night.

    How the night unfolds

From 8:30pm — London Bridge City Pier

Check-in on The Queen’s Walk, SE1 2QP, beside HMS Belfast. Roads across central London close early on 31 December, so allow far more time than usual and check the Transport for London closures before you travel. Luggage and large bags of any kind are not allowed on board.

9:15pm — a welcome drink and the music

The Cyclone casts off with a drink on arrival and live music starting, Tower Bridge astern and the lit City on the north bank.

    Midnight — a drink to toast 2027

A second drink is served for the toast as the fireworks go up over the river.

Until 1:45am — back at London Bridge

The boat returns to London Bridge City Pier after the longest stretch of the four. London Bridge station is a few minutes away; check what is running before planning the way home.

    Before you book

The dress code is applied: no trainers. Luggage and large bags are not allowed on board. Children are welcome from two years old, and the child fare covers ages 2 to 17.

The welcome drink and the midnight toast are included; everything else is bought at the bar on board. The crew work to hold the best position they can for the fireworks, but river traffic, weather and tide decide where the boat sits on the night, and the captain’s decision is final. Tickets cannot be cancelled or amended once booked.

Cyclone Clipper New Year’s Eve Cruise – FAQ

    • What time does the evening start and finish?

Boarding opens at 8:30pm at London Bridge City Pier and the Cyclone departs at 9:15pm, returning to the same pier at approximately 1:45am — about five hours, the longest of the party cruises here.

    • Is there a dress code?

Yes. Trainers are not allowed on board. Dress for the occasion, and bear in mind that part of the evening is spent on deck at the end of December.

    • What is included?

Boarding at London Bridge City Pier, the cruise, a welcome drink on arrival, live musical entertainment and a drink at midnight for the toast. The bar on board is paid separately.

    • Can children come?

Yes, from two years old. The child fare covers ages 2 to 17.

    • Where is the pier?

London Bridge City Pier, The Queen’s Walk, London SE1 2QP, on the south bank beside HMS Belfast and a few minutes from London Bridge station.

    • How is this different from the Monsoon Clipper?

Both leave London Bridge City Pier at 8:30pm boarding. The Cyclone departs at 9:15pm and returns at about 1:45am, with a dress code and children from two. The Monsoon departs at 9:00pm and is back by about 1:15am, and takes children of any age.

    • Will I see the fireworks from the boat?

The display is launched over the river and the crew work to position the boat as well as they can. Visibility cannot be guaranteed: the Thames is busy that night, and weather and tide affect where the boat can sit. The captain’s decision on the night is final.

    • Can I cancel or change my booking?

No. Cancellations and amendments are no longer available for this cruise.
