Christmas in Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon – FAQ
- Do we stop and walk in the Cotswolds?
No. The Cotswolds are crossed by coach and seen from the window. There is no stop and no walking tour there. The two guided walks on this tour are in Oxford and in Stratford-upon-Avon.
- Is entry to the Oxford colleges included?
No. Entry to the colleges and to the Bodleian Library is not included, and on 25 December they are closed. The guided walk covers the city on foot from the outside.
- Can I go inside Shakespeare's birthplace?
No. Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage are seen from the outside only — they are closed over the Christmas holidays.
- What does the Christmas lunch include?
Three courses with a glass of wine or a soft drink, served in Stratford. Tea and coffee are not part of the included menu.
- How long is the day?
About 11 hours: departure at 8:00am from Bus Stop 1, Bulleid Way, Victoria, London SW1W 9SR, and return around 7:00pm. It is the longest tour in our Christmas range.
- What language is the guiding in?
English only.
- Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, free of charge until 20 December. After that no refund is available.
- How is this different from the Boxing Day tour to the same towns?
This one runs on 25 December and includes the Cotswolds and a three-course Christmas lunch. The Boxing Day tour, on 26 December, costs £109, includes entry to Warwick Castle instead, and does not include a meal.
