    Description

This Boxing Day tour to Windsor, Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury runs on 26 December 2026. ⚠ It is the only tour in our range that leaves from Stop Z6, outside 50 Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0DH — not from Victoria — with check-in at 7:30am and departure at 8:00am, returning about 8:00pm within a 2-3 minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground. Entry to Stonehenge is included: it is the only paid admission included in any of our Boxing Day trips. Walking tours of Windsor and Bath, a view of Salisbury Cathedral and a professional guide are also included. From £120 per adult, free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Check where you are leaving from

Every other tour in this range departs from Victoria. This one does not. Stop Z6, Grosvenor Gardens, SW1W 0DH is a few minutes' walk away, and turning up at the usual stop means missing the coach. The return is also different: the driver's legal hours mean the day ends near Gloucester Road station, in Zone 1, three stops from Victoria on the Circle or District line and five from Piccadilly Circus.

Inside Stonehenge, which is the point of the 26th

Stonehenge is closed on Christmas Day. On 26 December it opens, and your entry is included — you walk the site rather than pass it on the road. The stones weigh up to 40 tonnes and have stood on Salisbury Plain for around 5,000 years; the theories run from religious temple to astronomical clock to Bronze Age burial ground, and none of them has been settled. Your ticket also carries a 25% discount on guidebooks at the site.

Bath and Windsor, on foot — and what is shut

Bath is a guided walking tour: Bath Abbey, where the first king of England was crowned in 973, the Royal Crescent, and Pulteney Bridge, modelled on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. ⚠ The Roman Baths are closed on Boxing Day, which is why entry is not included. Windsor is also a walking tour; Windsor Castle entry is not included. Salisbury Cathedral is seen but not entered.

    The Christmas Day alternative

On 25 December the Windsor, Oxford and Avebury tour costs £199 and includes a three-course Christmas lunch — but nothing is open that day, so no admission is included at all. The 26th is the day you actually get inside something.
